Separated from his actress spouse Bianca Kajlich for a lot more than a year, U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan has filed for divorce to end the union.
“We remain the closest of friends and will always be important parts of each other’s lives,” the pair stated Tuesday in a joint statement.
The couple, who wed on New Year’s Eve 2006 in Santa Barbara, first split in July 2009.
