Diet Soda Tied To Stroke Risk and Heart Attack
According to a brand new research presented at yesterday’s American Stroke Association International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles, there seems to become a definite correlation involving diet soda consumption and an elevated risk of heart attack and stroke.
Within the study of over 2,500 subjects, people who drank diet soda everyday had a 61 % improved risk of cardiovascular occasions in contrast to those who drank no soda. This was discovered to be true even when accounting for smoking, physical activity, alcohol consumption and every day calories.

George Steinbrenner passes away
George Steinbrenner, owner of the New York Yankees died in the age of 80. Even though he just celebrated his 80th birthday on July 4. Steinbrenner had a heart attack and was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa and later pronounced dead at 6:30 am.
A rep for the Steinbrenner family has released a statement saying, “It is with profound sadness that the family of George M. Steinbrenner III announces his passing. He passed away this morning in Tampa, Fla., at age 80.”
The rep adds, “Funeral arrangements will be private. There will be an additional public service with details to be announced at a later date.”
