January 2010 Toyota Recall Covers 2.3 Million Cars
A Voluntary Recall by Toyota Motor Sales Has Taken Place on January 21st, 2010
A January 2010 Toyota recall has compounded the September 2009 Toyota recall. The newest Toyota Recall from January 21st, 2010 is intended to cover gas pedal problems that that the company fears could lead to a safety hazard with many of their vehicles. Under the January 2010 Toyota recall, 2.3 million vehicles are being recalled to help correct sticking accelerator pedals in specific Toyota Division models.
According to Toyota, this action is separate from the on-going recall of approximately 4.2 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles that had been issued at a prior date. 1.7 million Toyota vehicles are said to subject to both of these recalls separately now. Make sure to check both the new recall list and the attached September recall if you fear you may have one of the affected Toyota vehicles.
TPI Composites gets 2.3 billion USD Tax Credits
Today January 8, President Obama announced the award of $2.3 billion in Recovery Act Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credits for clean energy manufacturing projects across the United States. Total 183 projects across 43 states will create jobs in energy planning and provide wind energy and solar energy to the americans.
TPI Composites Inc is building a new manufacturing facility in Nebraska to produce next generation wind turbine blades. TPI Composites got $2.3 billion Tax Credit this year. TPI says the facility will create over 200 new jobs and will have a capacity equivalent to supplying 265 turbines rated at 2.5 MW for a total electrical output of 663 MW. TPI will also be expanding their existing manufacturing facility in Iowa. TPI’s composite materials are also used for lighter, stronger, and more fuel efficient vehicles. $52 million for world-leader Vestas to expand U.S. turbine blade production.
