Things got heated when Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) appeared together on a Philadelphia radio show yesterday to discuss President Obama’s first year in office.

“This is beginning to sound like a TV talk show,” Specter said before things really broke down. “I asked you a question as to what you voted for and you didn’t say anything because–”

“I voted for prosperity,” Bachmann interjected.

“Now wait a minute, I’ll stop and you can talk,” Specter said.

“OK,” Bachmann responded.

“I’ll treat you like a lady, so act like one,” Specter said.

“Well I am a lady,” Bachmann responded, before they both returned to the debate at hand.

Today, a new poll shows Specter trailing former Rep. Pat Toomey by nine points in the Pennsylvania Senate race.
