Becky Griggs Becomes Trainer

She has become the next person in a growing group of inspirational individuals who have proved that it is possible to shed massive amounts of weight and feel good again. Her appearance on CNN has caused her to go viral today, as people are dying to know how she did it.

Griggs now works as a personal trainer in Oregon City, Oregon—a job that she would have never dreamed of just six years ago. Back then, she considered her lifestyle to be a “slow form of suicide.”

She has even gone so far as to compete in a bodybuilding competition! You have to see the before and after photos below, it really is unbelievable.

So, how did she do it? Well, according to Becky it is actually pretty simple. It started by switching to five meals a day, which were mostly protein based. She pretty much eliminated sugar and flour from her everyday diet—something she calls ‘clean eating.’ This required her to closely check the label on every food item she consumed.

One tip she offers is to avoid so-called ‘protein bars,’ which are actually high in sugar and flour. Once she got into the routine it gave her a feeling of freedom. She told CNN:

“Food doesn’t control me anymore, I control it…And I work out.”

To keep the weight off, Becky Griggs works out like crazy, claiming that exercise and ‘getting sweaty,’ is the key.
She is happy with her new self, saying:

“It’s taken time, but I know now that this me is the me who I am, and that fat girl, she is not me anymore…I am me because of her, but I won’t ever go back to being her.”
